Officials at Ault International Medical Management, LLC (www.aim-m.com), announced this week that the organization recently received accreditation in Case Management and Utilization Management from URAC, a leader in the accreditation of health and managed care organizations.

Officially awarded December 1, 2006, this accreditation gives further testimony to what A.I.M.M. clients and patients already know, that A.I.M.M. meets high standards in delivering quality health management services of both privately- and publicly-funded health plans. Since its inception in 2003, A.I.M.M. has endeavored to help organizations administer their employee health plans in an efficient and cost-effective manner while being sensitive to the personal needs of their employees.
Family owned and operated, A.I.M.M. was founded with the intent to recapture the personal touch that has long been missing from the medical management industry. Drawing from a network of more than 500 volunteers in the health management industry including purchasers, regulators, consumers, providers and health care organizations, URAC strives to develop national quality standards that are meaningful and relevant for everyone involved.

During the accreditation process, URAC worked directly with A.I.M.M. to ensure that policies, procedures and practices included guidelines for reasonable caseload assignment, plans for maintaining sufficient personnel to provide services, requirements that licensed physicians be available to consult with case managers, policies to supply continuing education for case managers, and additional standards.
URAC accreditation standards for Health Utilization Management ensure that A.I.M.M. has only appropriately trained, qualified clinical personnel conducting and overseeing the reviews that determine each patient’s health care strategy. Accreditation assures patients, providers, purchasers, regulators and employers that A.I.M.M. practices are fair and equitable for everyone involved.
