(PRLEAP.COM) Acsys Healthcare announced today it has been selected by Mid-Colombia Medical Center of Eugene, Oregon to implement SiteManager and rework their site’s underlying information architecture. The initiative will improve the site’s usability while, at the same time, make it simple for the hospital’s staff to update the site’s key content areas.

Acsys Healthcare, will convert the existing site platform from Cold Fusion to .NET 2.0 technology, and implement an advanced XML-driven navigation system. In addition, as part of the upgrade, Acsys Healthcare will reengineer the hospital’s site-search capability making it much easier and faster for people to access information from the site.
Mid-Colombia’s new Web site will take advantage of many of SiteManager’s capabilities including: CMS to update structured and unstructured information, events and seminars, HRS to help Human Resources manage job postings, and RMS to make gathering form-related information online simple.
Acsys will also deploy SiteManager PDS, a tool that will allow visitors to quickly search and sort through Mid-Columbia’s Physician Directory. The re-engineered Physician Directory will offer visitors easy access to disparate information and simplify the experience of finding a particular doctor or hospital service. Site users will be able to search using a variety of critera such as practice specialties, languages spoken,
office locations, and more. Mid-Columbia will also use SiteManager PDS to manage their physician’s online biographies.
