Look4aProperty.com, the UK Property Portal launched just seven months ago, has recently turned down a £60 million offer from a major media group to buy it outright, its founder has revealed.

Aaron Turner said a second offer, to invest in the portal, from an Irish consortium had also been rejected. A further investment offer, from a Saudi group, was currently under consideration.

Turner, who could not reveal the identity of the media group, said: It is simply too early. If the business is worth £60 million now, after only seven months, what will it be worth in five years time, which is when I want to sell it.

Instead of selling the business now and pocketing a quick personal profit, Turner has decided to turn Look4aProperty into an estate agents&# co-operative offering some 6,000 stakes to Estate Agent companies across the UK. The Premier Estate Agents Membership scheme was launched in October 2006 and has been received extremely well by UK Estate Agents with commitments and further interest from over 1000 offices already.
