(PRWEB) May 17, 2006 -- Sandy Powell, of Signature Draperies & Design, Los Altos, CA, will be one of 200 artists featured at the popular Los Altos Rotary Fine Arts festival, May 20th and 21st, 2006. The Rotary Show is an esteemed art festival inviting only the premier artists from the West coast who have been selected by a jury-process.

Sandy will be introducing 150 custom-designed pillows made from high-end taffeta silks, raw silks, Italian fabrics, French-country fabrics, and exclusive trims, tassels, and buttons. These unique, handmade pillows will be available on a limited basis. One of the highlights is the Jester pillow which is an exclusive design and required an extensive amount of hand-sewing and design-time. Also some Kuba Cloth pillows will be available; these one-of-a kind Kuba cloths are actually handmade African artwork designed on coffee bags. The Kuba cloths are overlaid on Ultrasuede and decorated with leather trim or raffia trim. Other pillows include contemporary designs, elegant pillows, and some delightful children’s pillows. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Rotary’s charitable causes.

Sandy’s work has been featured in Silicon Valley Home magazine, Fine Furnishings International magazine, Window Fashions magazine, and Dream Windows book. She has won national awards for her drapery designs and she is looking forward to showcasing some of these fun, exclusive pillows.
