Less People Searching for e-Learning, Shows Kineo Analysis(PRWEB) June 1, 2006 -- In one of this month’s ‘big ideas’ articles, an ongoing series in which Kineo shares knowledge and insights in learning, Kineo explores Google trends. The leading UK e-learning consultancy concludes that this tool could be of value to anyone commenting and analysing trends, in the learning profession and beyond.
The tool, another great invention from Google labs, is easy to use. Go to Google Trends and have a look.
For the learning professional, Kineo discovered some interesting trends. E-learning seemed to peak as a search term in early 2004 and has been on a steady decline since then. Blogs on the other hand is many times more popular as a search term – as is skype, wikis and RSS.
A word to the LMS market too: Moodle is increasing every day a search term, while in comparison, Saba is in decline. What the google trends show today, will the stock market reflect tomorrow? Place your bets…
The Kineo briefing is also available as a Breeze presentation on the Kineo site.
You can read the full article, and review several other trend comparisons at the Kineo website.
