Keith will continue to specialize in providing disability income insurance solutions for the impaired risk. His secondary objective is to educate individuals about insurance regulation and ratings of insurance companies, agent/agency licensing awareness and changes in governmental health programs (Medicare/Medicaid, SSDI) in order to assist consumers in making the right choices for their health insurance planning needs. Mr. Ouellette was formerly General Manager of Risk Insurance and Reinsurance Solutions’
Florida operation and was in charge of marketing and administering Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company’s line of impaired risk DI products for eleven (11) years. Keith also worked as an insurance regulator for the
Florida and North Carolina Departments of Insurance assisting financially troubled insurance companies in formulating Work-Out Plans before a decision was made to place them into public rehabilitation proceedings. The experience gained as a regulator gives him valuable insight about consumer protection issues and laws assisting State DOIs to maintain insurance company solvency and agents’ continuing education. Keith strongly believes that consumers should be aware of the protections that state insurance regulation provides them, as well as to the industry as a whole, so that they are armed with this knowledge to make the right choices about the products, companies and agents they select to meet their insurance needs.
