(PRWEB) August 2, 2006 --
Business technology and service provider Pierpoint-Martin today announced it has been awarded a contract by Janis Publications to provide fulfillment services.
“ The Pierpoint-Martin BackOffice gives our clients an unprecedented level of control over fulfillment operations ”
Janis Publications is a Calgary based publisher focused on topics promoting conflict prevention, conflict management and dispute resolution. Recent book releases include the Crossroads of Conflict, by Kenneth Cloke and High Conflict People in Legal Disputes, by Bill Eddy.
Until now, Janis Publications had been handling fulfillment in-house. However, the growth of the
business has necessitated switching to an outside fulfillment company. “Pierpoint-Martin’s experience and technology was a perfect fit with our organization,” says Janis Publications founder and CEO Janis Magnuson.
As a Pierpoint-Martin client, Janis Publications will be able to take advantage of the Pierpoint-Martin BackOffice. This web-based system will allow Janis Publications staff to enter new orders, retrieve the status of existing orders, manage inventory, and generate detailed reports on fulfillment. It will also interface with Janis Publications existing e-commerce site to enable orders to be transferred directly.
“The Pierpoint-Martin BackOffice gives our clients an unprecedented level of control over fulfillment operations,” says Pierpoint-Martin President David Cracas. “With it, clients such as Janis Publications can not only see what is happening in real-time, but can make changes. Our goal is to function as a part of our client’s organization, and this technology makes that possible.”
