Houdini Returns! New Book On Thinking Out of The Box

TIM KENNING
Tim is creator of Lifeways Coaching Cards™ and author of The
Houdini Principle™. He is a licensed Society of NLP Trainer
and Business Master Practitioner who has used his NLP
knowledge to create unique and novel applications.

Tim began his NLP training when he took Practitioner with
McKenna Breen in 1999 and continued training and assisting
with McKenna Breen over the next two years as well as
editing and contributing to their email newsletter for 18
months.

After spending 13 years in local government Tim knew he had
to break free and do something much more creative instead.
The result was a novel approach to creative thinking and
problem solving - The Houdini Principle™

Tim has presented The Houdini Principle™ concept to The
London NLP Practice Group, The Magic Circle, MBNLP Business
Master Practitioner, groups and companies. Tim is presenting
The Houdini Principle™ at The NLP Conference in November
2007.

"Escape From City Hall"

It may have taken him over ten years, but Tim Kenning
finally managed to wriggle free from the red tape of local
government.

After 13 years working for the Planning Department of
Norwich City Council, Tim decided that it was time to break
out and do something new. His new venture involves him
presenting and teaching workshops on problem solving,
creativity and taking on a challenge that he calls ‘The
Houdini Principle™’.

Tim’s workshops use the exploits and escapes of Harry
Houdini as a basis for thinking ‘out of the box.’ Tim points
out, "it is not about being another Houdini, but you might
learn few secrets in the process. I wanted to create a
unique and fun approach to problem solving," he says.
Tim has presented The Houdini Principle™ to business groups
and to The Magic Circle in London.

Tim became intrigued by escapology and Harry Houdini after
watching a stage show while on a family holiday when he was
seven. "I saw two escape artists do the impossible." he
recalls, "I knew that you couldn’t do that. Yet there it was
right in front of me."

He visited the Houdini Museum in Appleton, Wisconsin in 2003
and attended the First Annual Escape Artist Convention in
Indianapolis. Now he has put all his research and knowledge
together and presents ‘The Houdini Principle™’ to companies
and conferences to get people thinking creatively. "It’s
about what we can learn from how Houdini was able to create,
innovate and take on a challenge."

When he looks at City Hall now, Tim says, "I never thought I
would get out," but he took on the challenge to do something
different. "My only concern," he adds, "Is that there are
still some people trapped inside."
