(PRWEB) September 6, 2006 -- HONDA hopes to wish its customers a happy autumn thanks to a range of offers running until the end of September and possibly beyond.

For instance, the Japanese company's popular soft-roader the CR-V now comes with £2,300 worth of extras, thanks to the introduction of a '5-2-1' offer on all petrol and diesel models.

Every CR-V is being sold with a complimentary Honda Happiness service plan that pays for all routine servicing for five years.

This alone is worth more than £1,000, but the latest offer also includes a hire purchase deal of zero per cent over two years, and one year's comprehensive insurance - free of charge.

The six-seater FR-V also benefits from an upgrade offer to give 'diesel for the price of petrol'. This means all diesel-engined FR-Vs are available for the price of the same spec 2.0-litre i-VTEC car - a saving £1,175.

Sport versions of the Civic 5-door now come with front fog lights and a colour-coded rear spoiler for no extra charge.

Meanwhile, clean machine lovers planning to buy a Civic Hybrid can have their current CO2 emissions offset until they take delivery of their new car, thanks to another Honda initiative.

The move follows extraordinary demand for the Civic Hybrid since its UK launch in April.

Those ordering the cleaner, fuel-efficient Honda will have the carbon emissions from their current car offset with the help of The CarbonNeutral Company until they take delivery of the hybrid car.

The CO2 will be offset through CarbonNeutral investment in a forestry project in the Snowdonia National Park where the planting of native woodland absorbs CO2, and a wind power generation project which creates power without the need to burn fossil fuels.

John Kingston, environment manager at Honda UK, says: "Is there a better 'While-U-Wait' service in the industry? Not only will Civic Hybrid Customers be cleaner drivers when they get their order, but we'll help green-up their current car before then."

As well as being popular in the UK, global demand for the Civic Hybrid has been huge, with 5,229 sold across Europe and 112,000 cars sold worldwide to date. The Civic Hybrid has a combined fuel economy of 61.4mpg, emits 109g/km of CO2 and is exempt from congestion charging. The ES' model costs from £16,265.
