New York, NY (
PRWEB) February 8, 2007 -- Firstrade Securities,
www.firstrade.com, the online brokerage firm, today announced it will now charge the industry's lowest rate, only $9.95 per trade for no-load mutual funds.
With competitors charging anywhere from $14.95 to $44.95 per trade for their no-load mutual funds, we remain committed to offering more for less to IRA and other mutual fund investors, as well as the active stock trader and still cover the transaction costs we are charged.
Firstrade will continue to offer free trades on the nearly 7,500 Class-A, -B and -C load funds, as well as the nearly 1,200 NTF (No Transaction Fee) funds. Previously, trades at
www.firstrade.com for the no-load mutual funds were free of charge.
"Firstrade still offers the lowest mutual fund pricing in the industry," explains Firstrade Founder and President, John Liu. "With competitors charging anywhere from $14.95 to $44.95 per trade for their no-load mutual funds, we remain committed to offering more for less to IRA and other mutual fund investors, as well as the active stock trader and still cover the transaction costs we are charged."
The fee change will become effective on February 15th. For existing customers with accounts opened prior to February 15, who may have just recently moved funds into a Firstrade account, all mutual fund trades will still be free until March 30th, 2007.
Firstrade has consistently been recognized among many of its larger and better-known competitors for its high level of service, varied product offerings and low cost to the investor.
