Today Robert C. Benia, President and CEO of Toronto based Smart Talk Womens Network (www.SmartTalkWoman.com), announced the appointment of international telecommunications expert Richard G. Lubic to the companys Advisory Board and Senior management team.
Richard Lubic, a U.S. cable pioneer and venture capitalist, will advise Smart Talk on growth strategies for its live performance and new media
business segments, direct its capital market activities and oversee the companys international expansion to Europe and Asia.
As an early pioneer and entrepreneur in cable television systems, Mr. Lubic developed one of the first cable systems in the United States. Time-Life hired Lubic in the early sixties to help lead the publishing giant into the development of cable television holdings and expansion. Today, Lubic serves on the board of directors of several companies, and currently is Chairman of the Board of DL Communications, Inc. , a telecommunications consultancy to U.S. and European media groups. In addition, Lubic has been a long-time friend and
business associate to entertainment icon Dick Clark and is President/CEO of dick clark international cable ventures, ltd.
