“Greg has made outstanding contributions to the Internet technology industry in a difficult market environment,” said Robert Houk, CFM, of Merrill Lynch in Salt Lake City in his nomination of Cole.
Cole founded Bright Builders in 1997 with the goal to provide eCommerce and website development tools and education for small-
business owners. With a background in computer science from Brigham Young University and a love for Internet
business, Cole has led Bright Builders to experience a more than 9,000 percent growth during the last five years.
“Our focus is not just providing tools and software to help small-
business owners develop websites,” said Cole. “Our focus really lies in educating business owners to use the tools and then develop a strong online presence through innovative marketing strategies.”

Nominees for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year are judged against the following criteria: vision, leadership, achievement and social responsibility. Following a series of judging sessions, the Entrepreneur of the Year will be announced on June 16 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.
