(PRWEB) August 26, 2006 -- Amcomm Wireless, a Sturbridge-based wireless franchisor and authorized Verizon Wireless retailer has named Anne W. Ide as its new director of marketing. Ms. Ide will be working directly with owners Mark Amadio and Kyriakos Konstantakis to build franchising opportunities, increase awareness through public and community relations, and further develop Amcomm Wireless consumer and
business sales.
Prior to joining Amcomm Wireless Ms. Ide, a Charlton resident, was an account executive with Curry Printing. However, Ms. Ide's
business expertise and acumen stretches beyond sales and marketing to inventing.
In 1983 motherhood prompted a "good idea for a desperately needed product,” said Ms. Ide. The invention of the "Comfy Wipe Warmer in 1988 was a huge success, selling over 20,000 units its first year and quickly growing to a multi-million dollar product.”
Ms. Ide licensed the Comfy Wipe Warmer in 1990 to another manufacturer, yet she continued to invent products and hold invention seminars for "would be" inventors. In 1996, the company that licensed Comfy Wipe Warmer went out of
business leaving Ms. Ide with the task of re-creating her company under the Comfy Kids name.
With sheer determination, Ms. Ide re-launched a new and improved wipe warmer, Sammy The Seal Wipe Warmer with Nightlight, in 1997 and steadily recaptured the wipe warmer market. In 1998 she patented The Food 'N Fun Tray, a “less mess, quick clean up solution for the big messes that toddlers make during meals, snacks and creative play.”
Amcomm Wireless has five company-owned stores and four franchise stores located throughout New England-in Sturbridge, Southbridge, Webster, Spencer, Oxford, Worcester, Fitchburg, Greenfield, and West Lebanon, NH. The stores offer a wide range of cellular phones, PDAs, and accessories.
Amcomm ProServices provides IT assistance with Linux, Microsoft, and MacIntosh platforms, including voice and data networks, business analytics and data management, Internet-based video surveillance, web site design and hosting, and engineering services.
