business has announced an extra members benefits package, which will be provided free of charge to all members of 118 trades through an affinity deal with the sister
business, the Verification Association.
Speaking about the launch of the added value package, Daniel Corby said “The Verification Association member’s benefits package is substantial and now includes over 30 special members’ only discounts and offers, aimed at the member base of 118 trades. All of the offers and services are provided by third party suppliers and include discounts on commercial vehicles, preferential rates on business insurance, tool hire, savings on protective clothing and mobile phones, free telecom numbers and help lines to aid employment services. I believe that this value added package provided by the sister business to 118 trades enhances an already strong package and again provides 118trades with another unique selling point. We’re also being very fair, and applying this package of benefits retrospectively to the entire member base, which now takes in over 40,000 small businesses and makes 118 trades one of the largest directories of its type in the UK”
118 Group, the parent company of 118 trades was founded in 2005 and has recently expanded and now includes substantial interests in Telecoms, Advertising, Directories and Media with publishing interests handled through Fido
Local. 118 trades now cover 70% of the UK population and the company has plans to be fully national from December 2006. 118 trades is due to open a state of the art call centre in Chelmer Village, Chelmsford from September 2006 and is creating almost 400 new jobs in the county town of Essex. “The majority of these roles will be in customer facing roles, with a strong emphasis on sales” added Daniel Corby.
A direct mail campaign will commence in September to the 40,000 strong databases to advise them on how to go about taking advantage of the member’s benefits package.
